Body Knowledge is Self-Awareness. When we truly know ourselves, we are in a much better position to create the life that we want to live. How we think and what we do, directly impacts our state of “well being”. Our attitudes and behaviors can promote health or, it can destroy our peace of mind and cause dis-ease.
When we have the ability to understand, put into action and maintain all necessary components of wellness we can enhance the quality of our lives and maximize our personal potential. Wellness is more than being physically fit. It requires being healthy in all areas of our lives; socially, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and…physically.
The body, mind, and spirit are inseparably linked. When they work together, fully unified, we become strong and empowered. When there is a breakdown in any of these dimensions, wellness is threatened. Wellness emphasizes the need to take responsibility for ourselves and the world in which we live!
