Yoga is good for the mind and good for your body. Of the three-(3) important components of a balanced fitness program, flexibility, strength and cardiovascular conditioning, yoga directly provides the first two elements and has the potential to enhance the third. Vinyasa yoga also refered to as “power yoga” has the ability to raise your heart rate into the aerobic zone. Vinyasa means that poses will flow from one to another in conjunction with the breath. Using your breath to ventilate the body increases circulation and aids in detoxing the body of impurities. It’s a good thing….5000 years in the making.
